London Borough of Barking & Dagenham
The first point of contact with the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham is through its entry point signage. Therefore, in order to promote a new identity for the borough, that’s where we started.
We proposed a series of dynamic physical structures that identified geographical boundaries. As opposed to ‘directional signage’ that has the specific function of ‘wayshowing’ and is more formally restricted by highway criteria for official signage, our designs were made to be understood collectively as a group of ‘art works’, allowing for a more creative design solution.
