Canford School

The aim of this 2005 workshop was to engage student at Canford School in the creation of a collaborative art work that informed and challenged notions of sculptural practice. The result was a temporary installation located in the school cloisters.

The colours used were chosen by the students in an attempt to capture the ’spirit of place’ through observation and documentation of the colours found in and around the school grounds.

In 2006, we aimed to build on the success of the previous year’s installation by creating of a an art work that promoted a collaborative approach and used the same method of capturing colours from around the school grounds but this time appling it to a much larger area.
